my ATV makes almost a grinding or binding noise while i am driving. the noise sounds like it is coming from around the right front tire area, maybe in the general area of the drive shaft. the noise stops when the ATV stops rolling

it sounds like the cv joint is bad, but most likely if that was the case you would find a tear in the boot.

I have Kawasaki 650 twin that is doing the exact same thing. It makes a grinding noise while I am driving, coming from the right front tire area.
So I wondering if you figured out what was wrong.
I have no rips in the boots.
Thanks so much, Craig

you can still have damage tot he cv joint and not have damage to the boot.
just depends on whether it has seen some rough use.
with u-joints you can get a weak one.
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!

I had the same noise, it was my drive belt. It was missing several teeth. It did not make the noise all the time, but it sounded like it came from the right front wheel. hope this helps.
