Hello - I must say this site is full of information.  Thanks for the replies. I am tring to change my oil on my Tao 150. Are there more then one oil drain plugs? I know this might be a weird question but a Tao is a wierd ATV.   I took the silver plug off and only a cup full of oil came out. I thought it was empty and put more oil in and it over flowed.   I dont want to start unscrewing bolts so your help is appreciated. There are two bolts under the case and one on each side of the motor.

your tao uses the same engine as every other chinese 150cc uses a honda gy6 clone, yes they have two ways to drain the oil, the real drain plug on the left side towards the front, this drains the oil only, the other drain plug most people use is really not the drain plug is on the botton of the engine and when remove has the oil filter screen and a spring to hold it in place,

I have a 110cc loncin engine with 2 "plugs" one is for oil and the other has a spring and a small shaft with some holes drilled in it... is that the oil filter you speak of?? looks odd for a filter.

oh well, clears up confusion if it is... thanks billl2099.

no on the 50-125cc thats the automatic cam chain tensioner. just reistall it the same way it came out and you'll be ok. the 17mm nut is the drain plug.
