It doesnt look like the stator is charging the battery.  I've checked the voltage with it running and then not running (at the battery) and it is the same.13.4v  I would have expected to see a higher voltage with the quad running.

My problem is I dont know where the stator is to check it or really how to check it.  I looked at the fuses under the seat and they look good.  Any help for a new guy?

the stator is under the left side engine cover.

though i believe on that model the stator supplies the voltage and the cdi regulates the amount of voltage going back to the battery.  

That's my luck, I took off the right side this morning and havent gotten to the other side yet.  Thanks.
