Does anyone have, or know someone who has Type 1 diabetes and rides/races quads?

My son was diagnosed with type 1 last September. He's 5 and he races. I'd like to get an insulin pump for him, but I'm not sure how hard it would be for him to wear it when he's racing. I just thought I'd see if anyonw had any experience with it. Thanks.

i don't know but i do know people with pumps who are very active and mobile and have no problems. obviously health is more important than racing so i'd say get it and see how it feels when he rides and have shots incase it breaks if you can do that. let me know what you do and i wish him the best.
