Dumb Newbie Question

Hey, folks - I am new to this forum and have a dumb question:

I replaced the battery on my old '95 Kodial 400, but now it's dead - no neutral light, no head/tail lights, no electric start. (but it will pull-start & run)

First poss problem, I checked both fuses at rails under saddle/seat, which appear to be fine.

Are there other fuses in the starter circuit?
(Failing that, what to check next?)

I would throw the new battery on a low voltage trickle charger for 6+ hours. Even though it's new, it could be a dead battery.

New battery might show good voltage but still be bad. find someone with a battery load tester and check it. slow trickle charge may help as well like atvreditor said.

OK, I'll try that (check new battery), but it does run the (straight-wired) oil-cooler fan, so it's not dead.

Are there any other fuses, than the 2 under the seat?
