This will be the most absurd request this forum has ever received and I can't believe I have been driven to ask it. I bought a 1999 Polaris Sportsman 335 from a guy several months ago and the starter was bad. I pull-cord started it during the time I used it and a few days ago I decided to replace the starter. Pulled old starter, checked it out. Somebody had tried to fix it and frankly it was shot. Bought a new one. Put it on. checked the circuit to it by bypassing the solenoid. Worked fine. THEN...I tried to find the starter button (switch...whatever). Folks, I cannot find it!!!! The only thing that looks like a starter switch is the Reverse Override. I went online and dug up a schematic of handle bar components and no starter button/switch exists on the handle bar assembly. The keyed switch is a simple on-off and it does not look like it has been changed out. CAN ANYBODY HELP???? I can't locate the info on the guy I bought it from, so I am unable to talk to him.

there should be a run/off switch on the left handle bar. Put the switch in the run position and then push up from the bottom of the switch is is weird if you ask me but it works I guess.
