I have a 2 stroke tecate 250 and use a non-adjustable DG pipe and silencer. In 2 strokes the length of the silencer is somewhat related to the powerband. That is a shorter silencer is associated with better top end and the a longer silencer is associated with better low to mid power. The LRD adjustable is supposed to allow you to customize your silencer to your needs. I found this on google;
The LRD adjustable exhaust systems work on a unique slip fit design. This is a simple adjustment that will allow you to fine tune your powerband however you please at anytime. Just simply use a 10mm wrench to loosen and tighten the jam nuts, and feel the difference in each adjustment you make. LRD Adjustable Exhaust systems allow riders to specialize or fine tune the power of the motor to match their riding style. After purchasing your LRD exhaust system, you want to make sure that you have sealed your slip fit with a high-temp silicone on the BACK HALF of the pipe. The best all around setting for the adjustable pipes are stated in the directions. The various settings for the models vary, but where you want the power is up to you
