I represent a 6 year old who was on a brand new made in China ATV that dealer says is a 110 cc. It catches on fire while he rides it. The boy has been in hospital for last month getting skin grafts. The certificate of origin that was provided with the ATV says it made by Zhe Jiang Tao Tao Industry Co. Ltd.It says the model is an ATA 110 B. The distributor was Legion Global a/k/a LG Wholesale who says the "manufacturer" is Aim-Ex. I have a feeling Aim-Ex is just another distributor. In any event, anyone have any ideas how the engine could catch on fire. I had an "expert" look at bike who says it was a fuel fed fire. I want to go to the next step and say how did this happen. I have pictures of the ATV if anyone wants to see them. Anyone heard of this happening?

I have the same atv.. and the gas tank is leaking.. I noticed the smell of gas in my garage and found out.. lucky I caught it before it caught on fire.. The 110 was only ridden a few times.

it could be from the fuelo tank leaking at the shut off valve or a hole in the tank, or it could also be from the carburetor overflow tube leaking fuel against the hot engine.
yet another reason not to buy a chinese atv!!
