i have a 1999 yanaha grizzly 600. i am new to the atv world. anyways i went riding when my friend noticed that gas was leaking out of the hose that is under the atv, so we paced it up and went home and i dont know how to fix it. so if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know.

if it is coming out of the overflow hose comng off the bottom of the bowl on the carburetor then most likely your floats are stuck.

you'll have to remove the bowl on the carburetor and inspect the floats and needle valve.

if it is coming out of the tank overflow then you probably either rolled it over or severely overfilled the tank.  
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!
