The new battery we bought for our polaris was backwards and it was put on the atv wrong. By the time we realized this we had already tried to start it.  We smelt something burning and removed the battery.  We took the battery off of another  atv to see if any damage was done and now it wont start or show any signs of charge at all.  What do we need to do to repair this problem?
