Ive came to a conclusion that i have minor rust in my gas tank from where my floats on the carb had gotten stuck and drains all the gas and moisture setup.  I was wondering if there were any poor boy techniques i could use to clean or coat the inside so it wouldnt flush my carb full of rust.  Im going to put an inline fuel filter in it for now but i was looking for a easy fix or maybe some chemical that will eat it allt he rust out so i can flush it?  Any ideas anyone?  

no real quick fix other than buying a new tank.

you can drain it out and put an inline filter on it but it will only clog again.
