I just picked up this wheeler for next to nothing. It is in need of repair but not that bad of shape. It's getting spark and I've cleaned the carb in and out. It is getting fuel from what I can tell. It will not even fire if I spray starting fluid directly into the chamber. It has coughed once or twice so I'm quite baffled. This wheeler has a vacuum fed fuel system which I'm not familiar with. I do believe it's working due to the fact that I can hold my hand over the air intake to the carb and it will draw fuel into the carb. I know the wheeler sat for a year and the carb was quite gunky... i can't think of what else it could be. I'm sure it's got to be something simple. Thanks for any replies!

Have you checked your compression? Have you tried jumping it off?

when you cleaned out the carb did you clean out the brass jets. the holes in the jets are really small and clog up with gelled fuel or dirt really easily.
if not take it off and use either .10 guitar string, or a wire bread tie with the plastic coating burned off to push through the jets.
also inspect the carburetors' intake boot for cracks or holes.
the fuel/air mixture on this atv should set at 1-2.5 turns out.
