My '99 Xplorer has been dying on me when running 40-45mph, plug is a nice brown, not too lean, doesn,t seem to be over heating, (no lights, no loss of coolant), I have 135psi compression cold, pulled the fuel tank, drained and cleaned, replaced filter, cleaned and adjusted carb, checked timing, replaced plug and plug cap. Would the stator do this? Last time it happend we started out went about 2 miles of road and it died, sat a few minutes started up went through 6-7 miles of mud, hills etc. ran great, hit road again and after about 8 miles died and wouldn't start. After sitting15-20 minutes, started ran the rest of the day, but I never went over 30-35 mph again. Any ideas, Thanks
