A few years ago my dad bought the above model ATV at an estate sell. It had sat unused for about year. It was in good shape but never would idle right. He has since spent over $500 on repair work. Carb rebuild and I don't know what else. He finally just rode it for miles and miles one day and it got where it would idle at least.

That was a few years ago. Recently it went back to running for crap. It won't hardly idle, and at speed it just sputters and misses and sounds like crap. I hear him riding all over his pasture trying to get it to run like it should.

I think we'll tackle it from square one again. Does anyone have any suggestions for this tempermental quad?

have you inspected the diaphram in the top of the carburetor for holes or wear?
