I have a 2005 Honda 350es that wont shift into reverse.
It started acting up a few weeks ago every once in a while and now it wont shift into reverse at all. It will shift up and down thru all the gears except into reverse. I have no manual or experience but if someone can point me what to check first Ill give it go.

I have a 03 and it does it also..What I have to do is ..on the back of the transmission at the bottom there is a wire plugged into the back of the trans and it gets dirty and want let it make connection..I take it off and plug it back up and all is ok...It is located just in front of the rear axle..Good luck..

 Thanks a bunch .... I went home last night.. checked for that wire and found it was off... I reattached it and now I have reverse again !!!!  Great info !!!!

Is it difficult to change the wire feeding to the sensor in this unit.  I have been having the 'no reverse' issue as well, but both the wire and the sensor are damaged.
Thanks for leading me to the right location of the problem!
