I checked my oil the other day and it was above the full line and had a smell of gas in it so I changed oil and filter ran for about 2-3 minutes started ,ran,and ideled great , when I re checked it was over again and smelled of gas again. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks 256Rick

could be valves, could be timing, or could even be a cracked cylinder or busted cylinder skirt.

or could just be the head gasket.

i'd spray starting fluid around the gasket see if it starts.
(do so in a well ventialted area, and away from flame)  
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!
