Hi, This question is for wolf. Hope you can help. All I did was put a FMF titanium 4.1 slip on and I have been trying to jet the bike for a couple of weeks now. I have the boysen quick shot and I installed a aftermarket cam lever in the carb that supposed to have instant response. Basically the spring in there is eliminated. The bike spits and sputters almost through all the rpm range and some flames also come out of the exhaust. I have gone from stock jettings which is 42 pilot and 155 main all the way up one size at a time to a 48 pilot and a 170 main. My needle is on the 3rd clip. I disconnected the TPS and spliced the tors and the bike runs way better but at the bike still pops and sputters and throws flames out the exhaust. Just not as bad as with the wires connected. Hope you can help. Thanks!

have you already removed the airbox lid?

if not, take it off and see if it runs a little better or worse.

we need to eliminate the timing as a problem via the cam lever.

so check to see if it cleans up with the airbox lid off.

if you already have the airbox lid off then try turning the fuel/air mixture screw on the bottom to the right one 1/4 turn to add more air into the mixture. let it run for a few minutes if it gets a little better then you have a fuel mixture problem, if not then you most likely have a timing issue.
