the clutch wasn't asembled corectly and the clutch spring can't pull the disc tite enough but when the fluid is cold it is thick and will make the plates grab until the oil warms up get a book and find what was put in the wrong place cable ajustment might be to tite as well

I have found that some cheaper aftermarket clutch kits and even the factory ones come with the clutch springs already below factory recomended free length for the spring. A new spring should be 2.072 long and never be shorter than 1.970. I have taken new springs from Honda factory clutch kits and had the free length measure 1.980. To restor factory design spring compression to the clutch you need to add shims to the bottom of the spring pockets in the pressure plate. Mcmaster car has .060 and .120 shims the correct ID and OD to match the spring. These are available on there web site. Also check your cable/lever for proper free movement. A sticking cable will keep the clutch partially engauged and casue it to slip. The final thing is to be a bit anal with the lever free play and cable adjustment if you have an aftermarket lever. This is all on the assumption that the new clutch has been installed properly.
