ITP AND CAN-AM PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR CHAMPIONSHIP MUD RACING

Monroe, LA – April 15, 2008 – The competition season just two weeks away, Championship Mud Racing is pleased to announce title and presenting sponsors for the 2008 racing season.  

On board as the Title Sponsor for The 2008 CMR Mud Tour is ITP.  For the last 22 years, no one has delivered more groundbreaking, award winning ATV tires and wheels than ITP.  Constantly exploring ways to make the ATV riding experience better, ITP is dedicated to the ATV tire and wheel market, building hardcore products for the hardcore ATV owner and made the PERFECT match for Title Sponsor of The CMR.

Serving as Presenting Sponsor of The 2008 ITP CMR Mud Tour is Can-Am/BRP.  Can-Am ATVs made a promise to follow no one…and that’s just what they’ve done.  Leaving the competition in the dust…or mud…is something that has come to be expected in the mud racing world.  Can-Am ATVs took the lead in 2006 and have never looked back.  Can-Am’s unrelenting support of the mud racing market has left a lasting mark on the industry and will continue to push Can-Am/BRP to the front of the market.

The 2008 ITP CMR Mud Tour Presented by Can-Am includes seven competition dates spanning from May through October with points awarded throughout the season in several different competition classes for ATV and SxS Mud Racing.  Competitions will include Mud Bog and SwampCross (formerly Mudda-Cross) Competitions with point series for each competition in classes ranging from 0-499 cc to an Open/Pro class which will allow any size ATV in competition (see rules for restrictions).

The ultimate goal of The CMR is to see the growth of ATV Mud Racing as a competitive sport and give competitors a pedestal upon which they can receive the recognition from national media and industry sponsors that they have long deserved.  The CMR will also be discussing opportunities for more national media exposure including recent opportunities with national television networks.
