Hi,
I just bought some new rims and tires for my yfz 450. They are an inch smaller than stock in the front and back. I tend to hit the rev limitor in 1st to 4th gear. I was wondering what would fix this problem and not cost me an arm and a leg.
please email me at joshspies@hotmail.com
Thanks, Josh

the smaller tires will cause it to turn faster.
the rev limiter is programmed into the cdi box.
you'll need to buy an aftermarket cdi with a higher rev limiter. however there are some are offer one that is programmable. so you can set the rev limiter where you want it. they arwe a bit harder than if you just bought one with a higher rev limiter and just plugged it up. but the advantage with a programmable cdi is that you can tune the advance curve and get better performance via your own custom adjustments.
