hello, don't know how new this topic is....i'm sure its not, however, did a search and did find much.
150 honda pat chinese atv. Wouldn't start, found the elec choke to get pretty warm during attempted start. Installed new elec choke...no change, still got warm, as well as lost spark. Changed CDI, no spark.
Okay thinking about ordering stater, if I can get the dang cover off, and coil.....this should pretty much take care of any spark issue??????
Is the elec choke to be warm/hot to the touch?????
thanks ahead for all your help norm

before ording anything the very first thing to do is make sure all wiring terimals are plug in, and i mean take one wire a a time and pull forward and back on it at each connector, this is one of the biggest problems the wires are loose inside the connectors and when you try to plug the connectors together one wire backs out and doesn't connect the engine is a honda GY6, if you need a stator you need to remove the flywheel first before ordering one, they come in eaither 6 or 8 coils you need to know which one you have first. i hace an extra 6 coil, a cdi and a flywheel puller i'll sell you if you still need them
