i have a 1999 trailblazer 250. I put new rings in and now it will not start. It has plenty of compression and is getting alot of spark. It also seems to be getting enough fuel because it is spitting it back out of the carb and also blowing it into the exhaust. At a loss, do not know where to go next with this, any ideas??

i have a 500 outlaw with the same problem. acts like it jumped timing. bad ecu? I also found oil in the stator cover. new spark plug and plenty of compression. I was planning on taking it to a professional and see what they say. I heard the ECU that polaris uses is problematic. if i find out anything i'll let u know.

trailblazer 250 should be 2 cycle.
if it isblowing back through the carb then most likely you have worn rings.
check the compression, you should be getting around 130 psi.
the trailblazer if i remember correctly is a 2 cycle without reeds.
if this is correct then you can end up with blowback through the carb when the rings are getting weak. and it doesn't take much compression loss for it to do this.

Mandy,
it sounds like the valves need adjusting, or the timing chain is stretched.
i would take it in a have it checked out.
if so the repair would give you alot of the lost horsepower back. it shouldn't have any trouble climbing hills. a 350cc should have plenty of power.
