i have a hanma 110cc. has a spark, has compression, getting gas, new cdi. motor turns over but will not start. what do i do? was wondering how to check timing and also wondered about the magneto. if the magneto got wet or anything would it cause this problem. i have no idea what a magneto does. there is a cap that covers where the magneto is and it apparently fell off. i can't take the crying anymore.help please

ok can you post me a pic of the cap that you say goes on the magneto?
it doesn't sound like it's the cap for the magneto.
reason being, on the 110cc the cover for the magneto is the left side cover that bolts on the engine.
the stator for the magneto bolts inside that cover; so if the cover falls off then the spark plug will not spark.
when you try to start the engine are you pulling the choke lever or cable for it to start while cold?
some chinese 110cc atv's have fuel shut off valves, if yours has one is the fuel turned on?
if the magneto was wet enough to cause a problem it wouldn't spark.
send me a pm if needed and i can give you my phone number and maybe talk you through getting it to run.
I will be free'd up tomorrow "tuesday" so i will have the time to help via phone if needed.

on the left side cover of the motor is a 2 inch hole with a cap that screws on to it. with the cap off you can see inside where the magneto is located. when we try to start it we put the choke on. as far as i know there is no shut off valve for our atv.

okay in case anyone reads this and wonders what the problem was, i found out the valve keeper was cracked and causing it to not have compression. still waiting on parts to fix it but in the meantime found a new motor to put on the bike... will keep the old motor for parts or a spare when i get in the new parts to fix it

on the real four wheeler comment... i am not endorsing any brand but it is a real four wheeler and it is only for a four year old child... i have a "real 4 wheeler" but it is too big for him for now so i wanted to get him something inexpensive for his first one!

yeah i agree!! the real fourwheeler comment was a bit adolescent.
I put my sons on chinese atv's at first to learn to ride. i didn't want a 300 pound or more, atv rolling over on top of them.
even a raptor 50cc weighs 237 pounds dry weight. that's alot of weight on a 40 pound child.
