I have a '87 350D foreman that came with the property I bought. It ran great for the last couple of years, but then it started shutting off while running. I changed the plug and coil wire. This seemed to work for a while, then it acted up again whenever the engine warmed up. Now there is no spark at all. All the wires seem to look fine. Is it the stator? Is there a way to test it, the rest of the machine is in good condition.

either the stator or the cdi.
i would first take the cover off the stator and check it for rust or dirt.
if there is an abundance of riust or dirt it will have issues firing.
as well with the honda check the fuses. sometimes you blow the main fuse or the secondary fuse and it wont fire.
