Can anyone help me--the dealer says that the clicking sound I keep hearing is normal in this machine--is this true or not--at slow speeds I hear a clicking sound

I haven't found any of the sportsman atv's making a clicking noise. so if it was normal then they'd all make the noise.
The polaris dealers in my experiences with them can be a pain to deal with sometimes.

Could it be your belt? We've only had our Polaris800X2 a short while and we've already blown our belt. Our friends also have a Polaris 800 sportmen and the same thing happened.

I have a 2007 Sportsman 700 twin with 128 miles on it and at slow speed or going down hill you can here the clacking. My dealer said it was normal slack in the trans and shafts. I will run it till it pops, At least till the warranty is out. Not to worry I hear it is common. Take care and ride safe.

they are already blowing belts?
geeze the belts were normally the one thing that didn't blow out. they must have changed to a different composition on their belts.
are the belts still as high as they used to be?

I have a '07 700 Sportsman EFI and it also clicks at slow speed and going down hill. Otherwise everything else runs works great.
