Does anyone know how the Polaris sportsman 700 twin EFI handles in the mud and at top speed? I own a Honda Foreman Rubicon 500, would i be crazy to sell the Honda and get the polaris? I hear the sportsman will do around 70mph, is this a true fact?

If you're needing a speed fix, the Bombardier 800 is the way to go. Besides being a well mannered brute, it spanked everything (4x4) including the Polaris 800.

Your Predator isn't faster stock than the new Honda 450r so you may think that your predator is fast but the new 450r can almost beat a 660 raptor so don't even start!!!!

Guys....yes, yes, and yes. Talking Sport quads, you all are correct ( in your own rights). But getting back "on-topic", the 800 Bomb is the sh#t. Now then, where were we?

Sorry to hurt everyones feelings but the Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI is rated as the biggest and baddest ATV on the market by North American Hunter. The Sportsman 800 sits on a 760cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled engine. It has a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. The only other ATV that comes close is the Bombardier Outlander 800 H.O. EFI with maximun tow of 1,300 pounds. The Sportsman 800 can handle 100 pounds on the front rack and 200 pounds on the rear, the only one that comes close is the Arctic Cat 650 V2 and the Bombardier Outlander 800 H.O. EFI with the same amount. The Sportsman 800 is the only ATV in the list with a MacPherson strut with 8.2 of travel and a fully independent progressive rate with anti-roll bar and 9.5 of travel. Sorry Honda people, only one Honda made the list and here is the complete list: Arctic Cat 650 V2 4x4, Bombardier Outlander 800 H.O. EFI, Honda FourTrax Rincon, John Deere 650 EX, Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i, Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI, Suzuki KingQuad 700 4x4, and last in the list is the Yamaha Grizzly 660 4x4. Another note to the Honda people, when the toughest ATV Honda makes only has a max tow of 850 pounds that should be a clear indication that Honda is the weakest link.
As for one of the other messages I noticed in this forum, someone was wondering how the the Polaris Sportsman handled the mud. Let me tell you this, I have a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI. I have got it stuck only once out of numerous attempts to get it stuck. Pay attention Honda lovers. I was riding with two friends, each was on a Honda ATV. One was the Rubicon 4x4 and the other was a Rincon 2x4. It took both of the Honda ATV's just to pull out my one Polaris in 45 minutes whereas it took my Polaris less than three minutes to pull both of the Honda's out. I shamed them so bad that one of the guys I was riding with sold his Honda 3-wheeler. Now just so you understand, both Honda 4 wheelers belonged to the boy riding the 4x4 Honda.
One last thing, the Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI gets from 0 to 60 very quickly. I have had mine to 65 mph without the throttle pushed in all the way. Ihad maybe a half inch left to go if not more.

Well in my opinion the YFZ 450 is the best sport quad out there. yeah the honda has its good qalites and the polaris has its good qalites but when it comes down to it everybody want a bad ass four wheeler and the YFZ 450 is the best over honda over polaris and over any 450 sport qaud out there today.

So that means, I'll have your undivided attention we do our 450 shootouts and decide who really has the bacon? BTW that'll be the Honda TRX450R vs. Suzuki LT-R450 vs. Yamaha YFZ450. We'll be testing them on the track, sand and trail and under the RADAR gun - to settle just who is the fastest.
Oh, and watch the mom riding and butt intention comments, this is a public site and I'd hate to make you two sit in timeout. Even if the YFZ smokes a Predator or vice versa (my money is on the Yamaha).
