atvreditor is right,

we have all heard the term "you get what you pay for"
and no where is this more true than with the chinese atv's

if you buy chinese (low priced atv's) then you normally end up with lots of headaches due to repairs.

the chinese atv's sold around here aren't off ebay, they are from the dealers, and come 95% assembled, leaving the consumer to bolt down handle bars and put wheels on and install the battery.

at my shop i have seen every chinese atv available in the u.s. and i have to say iam not surprized that i see the large volume that i do.
and so many of them fairly new.

You get what you pay for.....

when you have frames that are made of small diameter, thin guage steel they are going to break and bend.

when the wheels are weak to begin with they are going to either bend or break at the hub.

the tires are cheap 2 ply and in some cases i have seen 1 ply rubber.

the chinese atv's are notoriuos for the valve keepers breaking, the motor mount welds breaking, the frames bending and breaking, cdi boxes going out, starters wearing out, starter drive chains breaking, the carburetor slide cap rattling loose, A-arm bearings and bushings wearing out prematurely, axle bearings wearing out prematurely, brake calipers falling off, output shafts wearing out prematurely, head gaskets blowing out, & numerous electrical issues.

BUYER BEWARE!!!
if you spend a little, you will get just a little use out of it, if you spend a little more and buy an atv from an established and reputable manufacturer then you are going to get a lot more use out of it and overall be alot happier.

geeze even buying a used atv made by a reputable manufacturer tends to last so much longer than buying a new chinese atv.

check the safety lanyard make sure it is on.

if so the check the spark plug for fire and check the carburetor to make sure it is getting fuel.

then get back to me.
and we'll go from there.

I'm working on a TAO TAO 110 unit that when I connect the battery the starter engages and will not shut off until I disconnect the battery. I have tried to get help from the company where it was bought from without any help.(the tech asked if I tried putting gas in it?) All I need is a GOOD wiring diagram.

I have the same question. Does oil go in the left side, It has a fill cap and check cap but it is bone dry

no the filler on the right side towards the back, should have a dip stick attached,  the left side is where the stator and flywheel are, the cap you're refering to is to check timing marks.

I bought one last year, nothing but problems...... rear master cylinder went out, $75   chain broke at master link, new master still kept throwing chain, new chain $20 with chain alignment tool stayed on during some pretty tough wheeling this weekend.  I think the head gaskets blown water in the oil and water doesn't seem to circulate.....$1100 could have bought a descent used blaster or something like it.......

i think its a conspiracy for them to sell us something that we can kill ourselves on so they can take over the world.....LOL

I just bought 2 TAOTAO Youth ATV ATA110. I would like to know where i can get parts for them. I bought them from a outlet store as is and they were new. Rode them around and one of them has a oil leak and we checked it out and the valve cover is cracked on the corner. I guess someone torqued it too hard at the factory. Any suggestions on where to get parts.

Thanks

hunter:
try the 110cc coil it should work a little better.

smitty:

try boosting it off if it turns over fine then you need a new battery.
if not then look at the starter.
