I have to tell you that I am glad that your dealer is helping you out. My dealer wouldn't replace the rear brake pads( after 3 hours of my son barely putting around!!!). The clutch works fine on his , but I'm sure it is only a matter of time before I am replacing it. Absolute JUNK!!! I call the manufacturer about my dealer and they said take it up with your dealer and hung up on me. Real excellent customer service Huh? Keep an eye on the welds on the frame. They will brake or crack and once they crack they will break. Keep an eye on the chain tension literally every time it is ridin.
Good luck and ride safe.

For all Chinese ATV's, Dirt Bikes etc: The oil that comes in the machines from China, is a very low grade item, that is strictly used to keep the engine lubricated and rust free for ocean shipping. Whoever assembles the machines upon arrival/pre-sale, needs to drain the shipping oil out, and replace it with a high quality brand name oil. Failure to do so will probably cause damage to the machine.
Unfortunately most "Dealers" don't know their a**es from a post hole. They probably can't tell you where the dipstick or drain plugs are, let alone actually do some service.
I run a Dealership specializing in Chinese machines. Checking EVERYTHING upon arrival has been part of our mantra from day 1.

Hey I Have A TaoTao 150B. It's 6 months or so old. It was working fine, and then yesterday it stopped running on me. It started leaking gas. I checked the tank today, it was empty. I checked the oil, and it was full of gas! What could be wrong? Anyone Know?

float stuck open on the carburetor causing fuel to keep flowing. easy fix just remove remove carb and clean

dead wrong, all chinese 150cc uses a dry clutch with a variator and a drive belt, this is called a cvt transmission.

has anyone ever ran the factory "oil" for way too long? we have a 2008 110 tao-tao. supposedly only ran 5 hours or so on factory oil. when the engine gets warm it loses power and dies, there is a very strange odor of something dead burnt. we have changed the oil and now the engine sounds awful like knocking or grinding. it was bought used we are not sure if it was the "fish oil" that we got out but it was very very dark and kinda had a red tint to it. it really stank. if if was "fish oil" did it damage engine?? and are there any corrective actions I can take?

07 prowler: Thanks for all the advice throughout this thread. You know your stuff. Is it common for the new Tao Tao's to have problems with rear brakes siezing up? My kid's 110cc seems to have the rear brake get hot and lock up after he uses it a while...if he doesn't use the rear brake there are no issues with the brake siezing. Another problem is the chain slipping; that only happens when my fat 230 lbs gets on it, not a problem with 60 lb son; chain play seems ok so must be an alignment problem like you mention.

on my grandsons atv, he had the same problem for a while. when i got down and investigated, the bolts to the exhaust pipe were not tight. i tightened them, and all was well.
hope this is your problem, and this helped you.

raders: we bought 2 chinese 110 atv for christmas. one has a problem with making very loud, sharp noise (like a gun going off) in a series, when we give it a lot of throttles. the atv does not make the noise when driving slowly or gradually going faster. It does not act or sound like a back fire. It idles fine, maybe a slight miss, but gets around fine. maybe not as much power as the other 110. would like to find a good shop manual. Any idea on the problem. I changed the plug, checked for an exhaust leak. help
check the bolts on the head gaskets, they may need tightened. i had to do this on my grandsons.
sounded like a rifle shot.
hope this fixes your problem.

I have a tao tao 110. I'm not getting fire to the plug. Kill switch is on and the fuse is good. What should I check first?
Thanks in advance
