I bought a used 1997 Suzuki LT 80, it starts fine but seems like the choke is always on. I replaced the air filter, plug, rebuilt the carb, disabled the oil injector and manually mixed the fresh fuel, checked the reeds, replaced all gaskets related to the carb, cleaned the mufler, checked compression. Starts fine and will idle forever but has no power for take off and top end is blah like the choke is on. This is for my sons christmas present any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

ok a few questions to start, you can also pm me if you need to.
did it run fine before you did all the work to it?
when you rebuilt the carb did you check to make sure everything was cleaned out? all the inlets and ports?
if so and it was all clean....
check the stator it may not be putting out a strong enough spark.
you can also try sanding the pick-up areas of the stator. if they are rusted you'll get a weak spark.
also check to make sure the magneto and stator pick up are at the proper distance.
also check the intake boot in front of the carb, inspect it for cracks or leaks.
the lt 80 is a pretty stout little atv, it should carry a 200 lb adult around, with a decent take off and top end.
it's a christmas present so if you are close to the chattanooga area bring it by and i'll make it run right for ya no charge. (except for the cost of any Parts it may need.) but i don't think you'll need any parts. also check the fuel on/off valve if it is clogged and not letting enough fuel into the carb it will run lean.
but my first check would be for rust on the area's where the stator makes it's contact for spark (magneto)
