Hey all, need advice on what type of quad to get the girlfriend.  She can ride manual but wants an auto.  Almost all of our riding is in the dunes.  We've ridden a Scrambler which isn't bad after jet, pipe, and clutch. Lookin at Kawa 700 too, but haven't ridden one.  Need an auto that can keep up with the big dogs without too much work.

You should go with the New Rincon 680 fuel injected it will do good in the sand ridden one and liked it.

I have been riding an 04 KFX 700 for about 1.5 years.  I have been down to OK at the "Little Sahara" and was able to keep of with the Honda 450 (stock) and faster than the 400 Honda and 250R 2 stroke.  I did find a Yamaha 450 that was way out of my league and didn't bother sticking around to play at the drag strip.

I was able to climb any dune from a stop at the bottom of the hill just to test my machine.  The great thing is that you never have to worry about what gear you are in.

I am about 6' 225 so the 700 setup is great for me but my brother in-law who normally rides a 2000 Honda 400 says that it is way to stiff, but he tips the scale at about 155.
