Has anyone had probelms with there 700R? I just had mine mess up a bit. I drove about 780 miles with it on a trailer. When I unloaded it and started riding it, it  back fired shifting from 1st to 2nd. slowed down and listened to it didn't sound like it was running bad, ran fine the rest of the day. Loaded up when back to the motel  tried to start it later would not start, checked the oil , and  the oil tank was over flowing with a milky gray color so I put the dip stick back in and checked the filter for metal flakes found none. Drained the oil and when it was in the pan it seperated gray from black? Anyone have a opinion? Thanks

if you went from a low elevation to a high or vise versa it my be runnig to rich or to lean and wants getting enough gas to the pistons and over heated the oil if not it dont know what it could have been

isn't the computer on the Fuel injection suppose to compensate for the fuel/air mixture?

Sounds like water in the oil. The usual culprit is a water pump seal. However, it could be water ingestion during cleaning. I'd drain the oil and try it again with fresh oil.  Change the filter as well and it might take a few cycles to get the water out. If this isn't helping, you have a seal problem and need to drain the coolant and probably have a pump replacement on your hands.
