Thank you! It's been a collective effort - but Pete has been working his tail off to get this thing back to life.

And yes, BP is in the house. That's him testing video games.

and this months issue was great, you've seemed to really get the magazine back on track in these past couple of issues.man i was LMFAO in that "this ole quad" section if though i'm not a big fan of lewis,if he did more stuff like that,i'm next to positive that both ATVR and DR would get even more sales.

all though i do have one small question for mr.peterson

mr.peterson,i was intuged by your section in last months DR,about never ridden any trails.have you ever ridden a atv?if u haven't thats cool because they could use you to test these new chiniese quads i keep hearing about which would be escpically intersting if u've never ridden a quad.

I don't have ATV experience, but I'm excited to learn.  The editors really are working hard to keep the magazine great and even improve it.  They keep promising to take me out.

They said they were going to start me out on a 700 with a sticking throttle.  I like your idea better.

There is a lot of action going on behind the scenes that isn't obvious yet, but it's going to pay off in a little bit and really make this site take off.  The improvements are coming slow, but they are coming.

mr.peterson may i just call you pete?mr.peterson well it just makes you sound old.

but na i can only imagine the amount of work it would take.then again i probably don't.also take'em up on the 700 with a sticking throttle vs. a chinese quad.with the 700 u may be limping, you may be sore,ur loved ones might look at you and say "what the hell happend to u?" but it will get you out of the woods.but if you do perfer the chinese quad just make sure "flatlander" is following you on a *** or can. bike with a good set of tow straps.

in all sersious, brain i think you've got i a goldmine on ur hands with pete.he's a hell'uva wrighter and he's the defination of a newbie.a couple of articles i would suggest,

1.do a article on your states atv safety course and then put pete on a quad.and if ur states like mine it should be intersting.these programs need real world riding and real world trainers.
2. when you do the new shoot outs allow pete to wrte a opion if he can find the time on which ATV he felt the most comfortable learning the regins with.
3.or both but its JMO.

also this is a touchy issue in this state but i'm asking for a favor.you guys have more power then any one cilvain.could you guys possible do a article on the number of ATV deaths and how to lower this number.you could do it on just the South east.and they're would probably be more then a 150 deaths.theres been over 50 in just my state.and its kinda hard to ride when you come arcoss some kid laying there at the bottom of a climb dead.this didn't happen to me but the ride i missed to go to my folks house. it happened to a couple of my buddies.2 of them no longer ride.said after finding that they never ride again.if u can't i understand theres alot of libalitly issues.but just the smallest section to tell parents not to let there kids ride w/o helmets, and never tempt fate i think might save just a couple more lives.

Stay tuned for the November issue.  There's an article in there relating to ATV safety and etiquette written sarcastically by me.  I'm from the Southeast; I've seen a reckless rider or two, but it's a nationwide problem.

redrider390,

Please call me Pete.

Thanks for the compliments, but more importantly, thank you for the suggestions on the articles.

The great thing about ATV Rider is that you have this kind of quick access to the editors.  I am hoping to put my newbie experience to good use.

And thank you for making the important point that riders should always wear a helmet.  As Brian said, there's a really cool article coming where Brian tackles issues like this in a very entertaining way.
