Where are all those professional riders/writers that are supposed to be helping us ? Are they "maybe" too busy for us common folks?

Foreman500

Hay there. I just signed back on this board after being away for several months for personal reasons.

I saw your post and it was the first one I read. So what's the deal? Is Bryan, Thad, Mark and Brad not been on here in a while?

Is there something I can help you with?

OK, first off, you guys have got to be *** kidding me! Now, to address the question/answer(s): Yeah, I'm too busy riding around in my H2, chasing strippers, and gulping Christal' (sp)! Get *** real! Do you guys want to know the truth about the 680 Rincon? You can't handle the truth!!!! Jus' kidding! Stock form: Cool quad. Great suspenders, but lacking in the nuts dept. I'd be trepedatious about adding meats, etc. w/out pumping the motor up. Solutions? None found.....yet. Hey, its Honda, it's early-Someone is going to come up w/ something.  What else do you want to know?

On a semi-serious note: We'll be happy to answer all that post here-unlike DirtWheels/Quad. Keep posting, and let us know if you like the "balls-out" responses, or would rather have some wussed-out, watered down responses.

(The opinions/statements I've made are not reflective of ATV Rider Magazine and ATVR will not be held responsible for any repercussions this post may encite!)

Just Kidding-Fire away!

Dude you got a Hummer 2? I rode the Rincon, not too impressive on power. Very impressive on the handling and comfort  though. I called our Honda dealer today,he said my 06 Foreman was too new to trade. So i am thinking about selling mine and looking more serious toward the Bomd 800.I have a friend in the bussiness that maybe can hook me up.What happened to that Thad fellow who is LTing the Rincon? He didn't fall off of the "GUTLESS" Wonder and hurt himself, did he?I still would like to hear his "professional" opinion. Thanks for checking on the common folks!

Mr. 500-

You asked where are all the riders/writers. Bryan and I are very busy, it's just the two of us on the editorial staff. The day you wrote this, I was just coming back from the Highlifter Mud Nationals and leaving the next morning for 5 days out of state...to do more ATV testing, like a good boy. Bryan is serving our country, with his 2-week reserve duties. You could say it's been quiet in the ATVR barn in the last 10 days.

We do like your questions and comments. If we don't hear them, it doesn't give us an idea of what your looking for from a publication. The more we know, the easier we can bring it to you.

And dude...you want to talk about common folk?? I represent the blue collar rider. Others in the industry look at me like I'm a fool because I own two ATV's and don't take advantage of the job and only use what is free to us. I call it remembering my roots. A job is a job, my ATV's are part of the family.

Thanks for reading and speaking out.
Mark

Hey,calm down,ya'll are kind of touchy about a little honest ribbing, aint ya?I drive a truck for my money, so i know well about no time.I don't have the time or money to go to all the great places ya'll get to go to.I am how ever very, very lucky to live in rural West TN. I step out my back door and have 100's of acres of private land to ride on.Our quads see very little trailer time.We do get to ride alot, everybody in my house hold ride quads every chance we get.And to Bryan a special thanks for serving our country and keeping us free so we can RIDE!

Hey guys....All is cool here! I took this whole thing as an infusion of humor w/ some good questions thrown in. If you can't laugh (at yourself included) at life, you are taking yourself way too serious. From now on, let's give this the "understood sarcasm is meant in good spirits" approach and figure we're all friends w/ common interests. As for the H2.....? Hoofs, 2 of 'em, size 13 (14 in MX boots. West Tennesee? Hmmmm.......I know a little about that area. LOL! Let us know what you do about the Bomb/Rincon debate.

thank-heavens everybody knew we were just kiding around.hey foreman have u looked at the bomb 650 the say their just a shade blow on the motor compared to the 800 but feel lighter.i rode the 650 and really really liked it,i haven't rode the 800 yet, don't have to many buddies who get into the big-bore thing.that would be my pick, but since i already have a project i guess i'll have to wate a couple of yrs. and find one used.

Hey Redrider,No i haven't ridden the Bomb 650, did check on the price, around  $7500 for the 650, $8400 for the 800.That's alot of money in cotton country!Plus the jury is out as far as the reliabilty of the Bomb. That alone is the main reason i stay with Honda, plus here i can buy a new 680 rincon for about  $6700.The dealer here has a 05 650 rincon i can buy for $6000,but from all my research i think the 680 is worth the extra $700.

Good work F-500! The $700 takes you from a slug to "respectible" level. Can't beat that ride either. I'm heading to Harlan County tomorrow, so I will be off-line for a few days. Keep everyone's panties out of a wad for me, will ya?

Later,

Brad

Hey 4x, I went yesterday and traded my foreman in on a Rincon. So far i have only ridden it about 5 miles, but today is sunday so we'll break her in today.I can already tell the 680 is a big improvement over the 650.Thanks for your help making my decision! I would have loved to try a Bomb 800,but it was going to cost me about $2000 more and i just could'nt afford it.I will be looking hi-perf parts for the Rincon, maybe ya'll can hop one up so I know what to buy that works best. Thanks Again foreman500.

i know its the rider and not the bike but last week at a local XC ute. race i saw a 800 leave the line with a 680 rincon in tow when they came out of the woods the 680 was in front and the 800 was in tow!!! talked to a guy who saw the pass said the 800 was buckin' the rider all over the bike and the rincon was riding smooth.the rincon won the race.so either can win a race its just the rider.good chioce.

Hey guys!

Great Choice Foreman! Looks like you're going to have to change your username..... We're long terming a 680, if Thad will get his butt on the boards and tell you what he's doing, that would help. Or....maybe we could use yours! As for the racing-I'm racing the 800 in the GNCC. No luck at Loretta's, better showing in missouri. I've had no problems w/ bucking. The problem seems to be the rider. Look for the full story on this in an upcoming issue. I'm going to hit some more races (yes, I'm addicted). I'll keep you posted on how this goes. If you've never tried it, you need to do, at least, one.
