Hi Foreman-
First thing, thanks for reading us (and understanding WHERE we are trying to go w/ the magazine) and posting here! Secondly, please turn of the CAPS LOCK when you post (or e-mail). No offense, but it's hard to read and when you post that way, it is taken as yelling.
I'm not going to argue your loyalty to Honda. I've ridden, and ride w/ a bunch of Red Riders and KNOW they are the epitome of reliability. I also appreciate your willingness to embrace new product, i.e. the 800 Bomb. You summed it up-Rocket.
I think you'll be happy to know that we have some riders/staff drones in the "real riding" part of the country. Our East coast ed. is stationed in GA., and I am in Tn. And when you start talking 4x's, you couldn't have stumbled upon a person more into the scene than myself. I am into the Sport-Utes in a BIG way. If you'll stick w/ us (subscribe-it's cheaper for you!) you'll trip on what we have coming up! As we speak (type?) our Ass. Ed. is in E. Texas at the Highlifter. I'm Long Terming the BRP 800 (modding for mudding and GNCC racing), Thad (our E.coast ed) is LT'ing the new Rincon, and Bryan (Head Honcho), located in Sport Heaven Cal-I-for-N-I-A is completely Down with (read: cool with) the 4x scene. So, as you can see, unlike our competition, we are figuring out where the, as you say, real riders, are.
E-mail (no CAPS LOCK please) Bryan at: www.atvrider@primedia.com with any test/riding/just whatever you have on your mind ideas.
Again, thanks for your input!
Brad

Part of the problem is Mother Nature, she is so fickle and rarely helps us out with good muddy conditions when we line up an 8 ATV test in Georgia - land of red mud. We did do some stream crossings - may I point out the opening shot of the big-bore test. but dry conditions really limit the amount of mud and streams to be found. We did try and unlike some of our competition, we do test our 4x4's on the eastern side of the country where it's supposed to be muddy, rocky and have lots of trees to bounce off. I have done the tree bouncing part down, thank you.
With Brad, Thad and Mike in Tennessee and Georgia, we're able to get some "real world" tests done.

No *** boss, you have the tree-bouncing down. As for the local stuff (yes Bryan, I know it's late here, I have to head out tomorrow, and I have a race to run...-just had to check the 'site before bed).
To those of you that care: I'm racing the BRP 800 at Loretta's this Sat., and just got back from Harlan Co. KY. All of this done on 4x's. What I'm getting at is:your input and e-mails are not going un-noticed. We are trying to keep both factions satisfied, and if you guys will appreciate eachother, we'll all be happy here. The 4x4's are being represented in a BIG way and we have an editor that has the "jones" figured out-just keep pounding him! PLEASE e-mail your wants and needs! We are all ears-no bulls--t.
