either you are too lean at the jets, or you are too lean at the needle.  try moving the clip one or two grooves down. if no change, then do a plug chop
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!

I have a 06' YFZ 450 that is not getting fuel into the Carb... Any ideas?  Jets are clean, tank is clean, fuel flows from the tank but does not end up in the bowl.

Help.

pull the bowl off and check the float and the float needle. Sounds like the needle is stuck.

Wolf1, Thank You for your expertise. I just bought a 07 YFZ450 and rode it for the first time yesterday, I experienced the exact same thing that Brayden8er started this thread with. I was worried since I bought this quad used that I might have just bought a big problem but after reading this thread I think I can get it straightened out easily. Thank You for all your input on here! and Thank Goodness for forums and the internet!

Well after rereading this thread and looking closer at my 450 I see there is no mixture screw, there is an adjustment behind the TPS but it just seems to control idle. When I throttle it from idle to wot it bogs like it's getting too much fuel, I removed the air filter but no change. I don't know if it's had jets changed or not being I bought it used. If anyone has any suggestions on tuning this carb I would appreciate it. 2007 YFZ 450 SE, HMF Bill Ballance exhaust, I don't see any baffle in it and don't know if it ever had one. Thanks

The bottom of the carb there is a adjustment screw. They are capped from the factory. The bog can be fixed with the zip tie mod, most of it.

I was reading alot about the bog on the YFZ450, from idle to full throttle the bike will fall on its face.

I removed the cover on the carb (right side) where the throttle cable goes in and tied the ac pump linkage together with wire (called the zip tie mod). This keeps the link together when you stab the throttle.

I first watched the link, it stayed put while the throttle wheel went to full fuel. About 5-10 seconds later the pump link caught up.

After the mod dailed the mix screw to 1 1/4 and I can hit full throttle with excellent response.

I think all of the 450 need this or maybe R&D leak Jet. Research the R&D acc pump cover, it has a heavier spring an adjustable leak jet. Most of the 450 can be fixed with the zip tie.

Good Luck
