Hey whats up? i have a o1 banshee that was jetted by a pro after i got new pipes on it,my problem is that after i shut the bike down the carbs tend to leak gas for a bit out of the hoses on the bottom,i went to ride it today and when i give it alot of gas it dosent move it just sounds like hell, but going real slow its fine and it tends to back fire also when i give it alot of gas,ive played with a few screws on the carbs but no luck still the same ,any answers to this problem would help me out alot thx

is it cutting out when you give it alot of gas or bogging down?
if it is cutting out then the fuel/air mixture is too lean. if it is bogging down then the fuel/air mixture is too rich.
turning the fuel/air mixture screw to the left will add more fuel to the mixture, turning to the right will add more air.

I've been trying to find this famous fuel/air mixture screw and I still cant find it. Some said it has numbers on there and its on the bottom of the carb. I have the YFZ 450 service manual and its definately called something else. Can someone help me try to find this fuel/air mixture screw??

can you help me. I read a couple of your replies. I have an 05 yfz 450. It was all stock when i bought it. I put a Hmf slip on, k&n high velocity intake on it, and upped the main jet from 158 to 175. It seems to run pretty good when i ride it. But when i rev it up at a dead stop it seems to bog down or pop alittle in low rpms. Is this normal. does the main jet size sound to high. I thought it would be perfect with the high velocity intake. Ive got a couple videos on it on youtube if you copy and paste this website. Thanks wolf

Hello all I think I have a similar problem but yet maybe not. You tell me. I have a 05 yfz 450 and I bought it used 6 months ago. Since Ive been riding it the idle seems to increase and decrease at its own pace or times. It seems to also regularly just idle high in my opinion. I check the throttle body at the handle bars and every thing seem good. I also tried to adjust the airmixture as youve been stateing in this artical but It hasn't changed the idle at all? What do you think?
