I want to ask some questions about the 2005 Yamaha Bruin 350 Automatic 2x4.

How much Horsepower does it have?

Is it a good ATV?

Is it a good step up from a Yamaha Beartracker 230?

How is the automatic on it?

Will it keep up with a Honda Rancher 400 2x4?

How is the acceleration on it compared to the Yamaha Beartracker 230?

How is it in the mud?

Is the belt drive good on it?

If anybody can give me any answers it will be very much appreciated!

Thank You!

I dont know how much horse power it has but it is a good atv but it depends on your riding ability.  Yes it is a good step up from the beartracker because it has just a little more power.  The automatic transmission on all Yamaha utility atvs are nice the have good response and it never loses belt tension. will it keep up with a rancher I have no clue.  the acceleration on it is a lot better that the beartracker because it has more power. in the mud it wont be as food as a 4wheel drive because it doesnt have that extra power going to the front tires.  the belt drive is awesome because i have a 03 kodiak 450 with the ultramatic trans and it is one of the best and the magazines agree.

I own a 2005 Yamaha Bruin 350 4x4. I am very pleased with it. The acceleration is very good, though I can't compare it to anything else because ive never been on any of the others. Yamaha's automatic transmission is one of the best out there. It will go through any type of terrain you can, within reason, put in front of it. I've been through creeks, really thick mud, steep hills, and just about every other place you can take a fourwheeler. Throttle response is excellent. Push the throttle with your thumb and youll spin the back tires a little. It idles good, runs good, and looks good at that! The only problem I see is the soft soft plastic. It shows everything, and scratches easily....but hey. Its a fourwheeler, not a lamborghini!!
