Im looking to buy a new quad and i was wondering if anybody has riden a polaris predator 500? are they what polaris says they are?

hondaguy08,
I'm not a sportbike guy, but that's what you need to ride sand dunes.
I 'borrowed' one from the ATVR garage when I was out in California doing a story on the sand dunes at Glamis. I REALLY like it! Plenty of power and it handled great. The riding position (seat /handlebars) was a little off, but I understand that they have fixed that. One thing I like about it is that Polaris has put a LOT of parts on this machine that are 'aftermarket' for the other brands.
Take a good look and deside for yourself!

I love mine - an 04 TLD model. If you plan on racing its a bit on the hefty side but will take all the abuse you can throw at it and come back for more.
