this is the very reason they are closing riding everywhere, there is only one circumstance that I know of where you can ride which is during a atv fest in the mid west. I have a yfz and I live in alaska where they pretty much leave ya alone and there are a coupple places where I have to use roads to get around but always done so as not to draw attention to my self. Is it fun hell yes!

I live in Indiana and several of our counties allow riding on county roads. Our Club, www.midwesttrailriders.com had a road ride on New Years Day. You can log on and go to picture pages to view the photos. We are going to have a small road ride on April 16th to plan a rout for our Midwest Trail Riders Rally in September. The Rally is going to be held at Redbird which is a State riding area. The road ride is going to be one of the items on the agenda along with guided trail rides, a night ride, mud bog, sled pull as well as other events. We do a lot of riding on county roads, not always as a club ride but as individuals. The southern part of Indiana has many counties that allow ATVs on roads.

he doesn't but other guys do. he's scarred of my cr250 he'd die if he tried to ride a 660 i've only known them to write 1 ticket and that guy passed 3 cars on 2 wheels then did a stoppie at the red light. they don't really care but they've caught guys smokin weed and had to chase them through the woods so they bought some atvs to keep from having take the trucks through the woods as long as peole ride with their head and not with their thumb.don't worry about i know, come cops are pricks and act like every time you ride your atv on the road your comenting murder some are just #### i know. i don't live there we've just got a camp there but i know some cops on atvs plus my dad a cop so it pissed me off u calling them pigs and stuff.
got a cr250 that i race and a honda foretrax 500 4X4 that i use for everything else. and my dads got yamaha rhino with a lift, big wheels and tires and bunch of other things that thing has been through every mud hole in this county.what all have u done to ur kawi? a buddy of mine from school has a vforce 700 those are fast as hell
by the way sorry for calling u a dumbass

I killed the streets, You can't come anywhere near a road on a quad here in Southern Wisconsin...
But getting tickets is part of being a stunter,
Leave marks cops like donut marks

I respect your skills and, sure ATV's are fun on pavement in short stretches, but think about how your and any other stunters (bike & ATV) behavior is perceived by the non-riding public. You know the people who write, call or simply demand our machines be banned anywhere.
Yeah, they think we're all a bunch of reckless daredevils who deserve or are asking to get maimed or killed. That's the part that burns me, bunch of squids showing off to people who are not impressed and the rest of us paying the social price.
Think about that the next time you feel the urge to ride wheelies down the street or practice your stoppies in front of a soccer mom!
Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now,
Bryan

I have an 01 400ex. In Iowa we can ride on the roads, but were not supposed to. on gravel roads the cops really don't care i've been pulled over once on gravel. in town and on the highway cops are real #### though. if i couldn't ride my quad on the road i couldn't get to work. because i'm 15 and can;t drive a car or truck yet. it is also fun burning out and doing fourth gear wheelies on the roads. I almost hit a hawg once doing a wheelie once in front of my uncles tavern. i didin't see it until they flew by right in fornt of me. it was scary. after that i quit screwing around as much.
