Guys,
I have a 99 beartracker that I've owned for about 4 troublefree years. Last week as I was entering the woods for a hunting session I stopped to adjust some equipment. I did not turn the machine off. After everything was secure I hit the gas to go and it stalled. After this it would not start, it cranked but wouldnt fire. I checked to see if their was spark and their wasnt any. After getting towed out of the woods by a friend I started asking some of my hunting buddies who have owned quads and snowmobiles for years and they all suggested the CDI box. It should also be noted that I had no juice at the coil either. Yesterday I replaced the CDI box as well as the rectifier/amplifier (?) and still it wont start. Suggestions appreciated, I hate walking,
      Thx, Cory

IT'S A POSSIBILITY, DUE TO THE LACK OF POWER AT THE COIL, THAT YOUR STATOR OR VOLTAGE REGULATOR, OR EVEN BOTH HAVE FAILED. UNFORTUNATELY I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOUR PARTICULAR MODEL, AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO HELP YOU DIAGNOSE IT, BUT HOPEFULLY YOUR FRIENDS HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO TEST YOUR CHARGING SYSTEM AND GET YOU UP AND RUNNING.      LETS HOPE WOLF ANSWERS THIS ONE HE CAN GIVE YOU A BETTER PICTURE AND POSSIBLY SOME INSTRUCTIONS.

check your battery wire make sure you are getting power from it, then go down the line check before the stator see if there is power there, and then check after the stator.
have you checked all of the fuses?

and even though it is unlikely have you tried another battery?? i have seen batteries short out completely and suddenly and cause this as well, but it is rare.
check all of your connections, this is definately one i'd like to look at.
Keep it RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!
