WildBoyzDad:
Hi everyone. Does anyone here recommend a web site or a shop manual on the chinese ATVs?  I have a 50cc, 90cc, 150cc and a 250cc all 4 strokers.  I'm really needing info on the breakdown of the engines and thier components.  I can't seem to find much out there except for the basic user manuals that came with them.  I hope there is a topic already posted here but I may need a lead to find it. I have a starting issue as well. Thanks!

Hello, I have a engine 250cc 4 stroke air cooled, I need know the wire schematic and if some bary have the wiring harness schematics, thanks, because i Don't have the manual, thanks again.

Hello everyone I just bought 125 and 250 tao tao atv's.
Should I do anything to them before I start and ride them?  For example: change the gear oil or engine oil.
Please help the newbie!

check all of the bolts in the front suspension.
make sure they are tight.
make sure the carb cap is tight.  (the top of the carb with the cable going through it)if it isn't tight it can rattle off and you suddenly go wide open with no throttle control.

check to make sure none of the wiring is run over top of the frame bars under the plastic.  if it is it will ground out and fry the wiring.

and check the wheel nuts to make sure they are tight, you don't want a wheel coming off while riding.

grease all of the grease fittings on the bike.

I have a China Made 110cc quad. I just purchased it for my son for Xmas. The chain came off over the weekend. While I was able to put the chain back on, it seems rather loose. I am a novice at this and would appreciate any suggestions pertaining on how to tighten the chain. I looked in the manual and it does not state anything.  Thanks in advance....

ahh been there done that.

well first try tightening it with the bolts on the back of the swingArm.

if it comes loose again within a week or two then...

check the rear motor mount, they are really bad about breaking at the weld.
you can weld it back or have it done and brace it a little better and it will be fine.

110cc is too much for the little frame. so support the rear mount well

Hey everyone. I know this may sound stupid, but on the left side, where the "on" and "off" switch is.... Not the red one. The black one. When you turn it off you have to put that switch back in the middle, then push it in. Just thought I'd throw that out there

wolf1, i am trying to troubleshoot a no spark on one of these chinese 110cc bikes. Rear switch cap is on and not grounding out, CDI was swapped with another from a working bike and the coil was tested fine on another bike as well. I think my only thing left is the stator setup in the engine, any idea how to test it?
Thanks

yeah it's sounds like the stator.

check the wiring diagram under my readers rides.
and then check the power leads for the stator to see is voltage is being produced.

I have a TaoTao 110cc. There are 2 terminals on the solenoid. I know one goes to the starter. Where does the other terminal connector connect to? If I am looking at the solenoid where the relay connector points downward. Does the starter connect to the right terminal connector?

Thanks

I have a TaoTao ATV for my kid that is a 90cc model.  I live in CA so that is a problem in itself.  I took this ATV to a USFS site to let my kid ride on the smaller tracks but the Forestry Service ranger said the spark arrester was not USFS legal.  Does anyone know of a good, USFS legal muffler with a USFS legal spark arrester for this ATV?  I thought about buying a Big Gun for it but wanted to check with you guys first.
