I was doing some work on my Honda foreman 06 (4cycle engine) attaching a plow bracket, to make it easy I used the winch to pull up the front end so that it stood 100% vertical on its back tires. Gas started leaking out of a tube that appeared to be be an overflow valve. I just set a gas can under it. (I should have turned OFF the Gas valve but didn't think about it) I did my repairs and had lunch and 6 hours later set it back down on all 4 wheels. I tried to start the engine and it was a no go. I checked the airfilter and found that it had 3/4 gallon of gas inside. I sponged it out and let it air dry 2 hours and then tried to start it. It started but I had to keep it at 1/2 to full throttle to keep it running. I made 2 trips around the yard and it kept dieing. I pulled the sparkplug...its dry and has normal use, no oil in the cylinder. I check the oil it was 2x the normal quantity...due to the fact that GASOLINE had drained some how into the pan. Therefore it was 50% gas and 50% oil. I drained it. and will hopefully tomorrow add new oil and give it a try. What happened? What damage might I have done that was temporary and what was permanent? I drove around the yard and had the engine running poorly but for around 4 minutes with 2x quantity gas/oil mixture. What do you suggest?

no damage unless you ride it for a good while like that.

just drain it out, change the oil filter, and let it sit with the oil cap off for about an hour so any left over gas will evaporate,  then with the drain plug still off pour about a half quart of clean oil through it.
replace the drain plug refill with oil and ride.
it should be fine.
just dont ride again like that, you could damage the clutches.
