I am new to the whole atv thing and i was wondering what the differance between a muffler and a silencer was? I wanted to put an aftermarket exsaust on my quad to wake it up a little and when i started looking i noticed some of them said muffler and some said silencer whats the differance?

A silencer is the muffler part of a two stroke engine exhaust. And Muffler is for a four stoke engine exhaust.
