Does not look like this board gets much traffic? I just bought a '07 yfz 450, Looks like there are tons of different mods for it,, different pipe/intake/jet combinations? I was wondering if any of you guys had a good set-up? Mine is still stock and I am trying to do research before I drop hundreds of dollars on mods. Anyone have any advice?

The YFZ is a pretty versatile machine. just putting a GYTR pipe and jetting on it wakes it up. What are you using it for? Check out our December issue, we did a project with Duncan Racing to use it in 3 different settings. Bryan

dan450 it sounds like your carb is out of synch due to the baffle being out. if it bogs then it is normally getting just a bit too much fuel. turning the screw to the left with increase the air in the mixture. turning it to the right will increase fuel into the mix. mark where it is set now, and turn it a little to the left keeping in mind how many turns you make. I had to readjust the carb on my blasters when i removed the baffles for more power. but make adjustments small, and ride it for a minute or two to burn any extra fuel it is already burning. then you'll see the result. if it bogs it's normally too much fuel, if it cuts out then it is normally getting too much air. if you can't get it to adjust the way you want it you have to re-jet the carb.
